Ju Jitsu: The Original Ground Game
Ju Jitsu is one of the oldest and most influential martial arts in the world — the very foundation from which arts like Aikido and Judo were developed.

It’s more than a self-defence system — it’s a comprehensive martial art and combat sport focused on grappling, ground control, and real-world technique.
✅ Leverage over size
✅ Technique over brute strength
✅ Control over chaos

Ju Jitsu teaches how a smaller, physically weaker person can overcome a larger attacker through timing, skill, and precision — not force.
Whether for self-defence, sport, or personal growth, Ju Jitsu builds resilience, confidence, and tactical awareness that transfers directly into everyday life.

What’s the Difference Between Japanese Ju Jitsu and Brazilian Ju Jitsu?

Japanese Ju Jitsu is the original battlefield art of the samurai — often referred to as the “mother art”. It was designed for real combat and survival, incorporating a complete system of fighting skills.

In Japanese Ju Jitsu, you'll find a diverse blend of techniques:

  • Grappling

  • Judo-style throws

  • Aikido-inspired redirection

  • Striking and counter-striking

  • Joint locks, pins, and weapon defences

It's a broad, well-rounded system that teaches you to flow from upright to ground, adapting to whatever situation arises.

Brazilian Ju Jitsu (BJJ), by contrast, focuses almost exclusively on the grappling and ground-fighting element. It's highly specialized in submissions, positioning, and control once a fight goes to the mat.

In short:

🥋 Japanese Ju Jitsu = Versatile, stand-up + ground, rooted in samurai tradition
🥋 Brazilian Ju Jitsu = Technical ground game, refined for sport and competition

Both are powerful in their own right — the choice depends on what kind of martial arts journey you want.
