Pedaled off another Bucket List Activity!

What a truly heartwarming and wonderful day we had yesterday at the Campbelltown Bicycle Education Centre.
Congratulations to everyone from our LSS 50+ Club who took part. For some, it was their very first time ever riding a bike. For others, it had been 20, 40—even more than 65 years since they last rode. That’s something to be incredibly proud of.
The tricycles were fantastic for building confidence—helping ease fears around balance and getting comfortable with pedaling. From there, many participants made the leap to two wheels, which was amazing to see.
Too often in life, people settle into the belief that certain things are no longer possible for them. But if I can help turn a dream into reality—or tick off a long-held bucket list goal—I will always give it a go. Watching confidence grow throughout the day was incredibly rewarding.
By the end, things had become so lively we had to call in Constable Ferlito and Constable Fitzpatrick to keep everyone in line—there was speeding, missed stop signs, and even a bit of tailgating! All in good fun, of course, and a true sign of growing confidence.
The whole day was uplifting—the weather was perfect, the food was delicious, and the fresh sponge cake for Mrs Fitzpatrick’s birthday (thank you, Mrs. Winters) was simply heavenly.
A day full of courage, laughter, and achievement. Well done, everyone
